Welcome to Prophecy

Prophecy is a MUD based on the Belgariad and Malloreon saga by David and Leigh Eddings. It has been around since 1995 and runs on a heavily modified ROM 2.4 codebase with a lot of unique features, such as our clan system and the aquest system.

We are constantly adding new areas based on the Belgariad with the help of our builder staff. The world looks and feels like the world the Eddings couple once created and once our relinking project is done, the world will resemble the maps as drawn by David Eddings even more closely.

Prophecy offers 91 mortal levels and the choice of going PK-set at any time. Player Killing is encouraged but restricted to a 10 level range. Roleplaying is also highly encouraged and you are asked to use an unique name for your character in order to retain the MUD's roleplaying atmosphere.

You also have the choice of joining a variety of clans. For PK, there exist the Guardians of the West, the Army of Angarak, the Legions of Neutral and the BearCult. There are also a few nonPK clans. If these don't suit your liking, you can get together with some likeminded people and attempt to start your own clan.

There's a whole world out there to explore and conquer, so come, log in and find out.
